One pretty big one is the D.I.E Shockwave Wonder Weapon that can only be acquired by completing some secret steps in the game, but it is well worth the trouble involved. While most players will want to snag the Ray Gun as soon as they possibly can there are several other weapons in the game that are also quite useful.
